The FDA has closed investigations on two outbreaks and is continuing to investigate another eight.
An investigation into an outbreak of “adverse events” involving 558 patients who ate Lucky Charms cereal that was initially posted on April 20 is closed. The FDA conducted on-site inspections and testing.

FDA: What’s up with E. coli, Hepatitis A, Salmonella, Listeria and Lucky Charms?
This week the FDA is reporting 10 E. coli O157:H7 illnesses linked to “not yet identified.” This is the same for a Listeria outbreak that has sickened 21. The Hepatitis A outbreak is linked to strawberries and has sickened 27 (10 of those in Canada) and the Salmonella outbreak linked to peanut butter has sickened
Questions still remain about Lucky Charms cereal
According to www.iwaspoisoned.com – Starting in late 2021 Lucky Charms food poisoning reports started to trend on iwaspoisoned.com. As of May 12 there are reports of over 7,300 sick. The FDA has initiated an investigation. As of May 11 the FDA reports 555 “adverse event reports.”
Brownies with added metal recalled due to health risk
H-E-B is voluntarily issuing a recall for H-E-B Bakery Two Bite Brownies (12 oz) and H-E-B Simply Delicious Cookies with Brownie Bites Party Trays for potential metal fragments in product. The potentially affected products were manufactured by an outside supplier and distributed only to H-E-B and Joe V’s Smart Shop stores in Texas and Mexico.
Ready-to-Eat chicken recalled due to undercooking
Wayne Farms, LLC., a Decatur, Ala. establishment, is recalling approximately 30,285 pounds of a ready-to-eat (RTE) chicken breast fillet product that may be undercooked, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today.
