Another Hepatitis A case is being reported by a person who ate at the same restaurant in Hamilton Township.

Robbinsville Township health officials say the resident ate at Rosa’s Restaurant on 3442 South Broad Street during the time when a food handler reported having Hepatitis A.

A 53-year-old hair salon employee and a 60-year-old part-time fitness instructor were diagnosed with Hepatitis A after they ate at Rosa’s Restaurant where a food handler first contracted the virus, health officials said Friday.  An infected food prep worker is the source of the outbreak and was hospitalized last month because of it.

The Hamilton Township Division of Health has been informed of two (2) additional Hepatitis A cases which were confirmed over the New Year’s holiday.

In the first additional case (second case in community), the Hamilton Township Division of Health was informed by Robert Wood Johnson Hospital – Hamilton and the New Jersey Department of Health

Late Monday the Hamilton Township Department of Health was informed by the state Department of Health of a confirmed case of Hepatitis A involving a food worker employed at Rosa’s Restaurant and Catering located at 3442 South Broad St, Hamilton Township.

Health officials are once again alerting the public about possible hepatitis A exposure – this time at that Austin Texas Whataburger in Central Austin. A restaurant employee there at the 2800 Guadalupe St. location has been diagnosed with the hepatitis A virus.  The same officials urge patrons to seek medical advice and treatment.
