The Klamath Falls Herald-News reported today that the food poisoning that was traced to Sergio’s Dos Mexican Restaurant has been identified as norovirus.  Sergio’s closed for cleaning after the outbreak was traced to the restaurant, but has since reopened.  According to the article:

Sergio’s officials also said Wednesday they believe the virus wasn’t a result of any violations they’d made.

“They found no problems, no issues or concerns” in how the restaurant is preparing food, said Tony Cesena, owner Francisco Cisneros’ sales consultant.

But the restaurant did undergo significant cleaning to ensure the business is above standards, Cesena said.
