Salmonella contaminated alfalfa sprouts produced by Tiny Greens Organic Farm of Urbana, Illinois, have been implicated in a big Salmonella outbreak that keeps getting bigger.  The CDC updated its official case-count today, but still with the caveat that this is a common serotype and that some of the cases "may not be related to this outbreak"–in other words, some of the 112 confirmed cases may be part of the background incidence for this strain of Salmonella.
