TF-logo-e1442428732436Eight cases of E. coli have been reported recently in Washoe County, according to health officials.

Phil Ulibarri, a spokesman for the Washoe County Health District, said he was notified on Nov. 4 of the cases, and that the WCHD is investigating.

Six of the eight cases have been connected with the Twisted Fork restaurant in South Reno, according to Ulibarri. The restaurant is cooperating remains open.

No details were available regarding the other two cases. Information on individual cases or conditions could not be released, per federal health privacy laws.

Ulibarri said the cases are unrelated to other E. coli cases related to Chipotle restaurants or High Hill Ranch.
