The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has recalled a brand of alfalfa sprouts due to a possible salmonella contamination.

Aquafuchsia Salad Plus: Alfalfa with a touch of radish is the product in question. Consumers should not eat it. The item should be thrown out or returned to the store where it was bought.

Salmonella-tainted food does not look or smell bad but can still cause illness. Healthy people may experience short-term symptoms such as fever, headache, vomiting, nausea, abdominal cramps and diarrhea.
