p2Jesse Jones reports that an Everett pistachio company is pulling products off local shelves due to a potential Salmonella contamination.

Crescent Specialty Foods, Inc. voluntarily recalled 6-ounce bags of Crescent Pistachio Raw Thursday.

The recall is a result of a random sampling program conducted by a Food and Drug Administration contracted lab.

The cause of the possible contamination is unknown.

The nuts were distributed to retail and online stories in Oregon and Washington.

The recall is being made at the request of the FDA.
