The Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene continues to investigate the link between E. coli O157:H7 infections and the consumption of apple cider from Westminster’s Baugher’s Orchard and Farm.  According to the Carroll County Times:

A Westminster, Maryland company called Baugher Enterprise Inc has been linked to an outbreak of at least 7 E. coli O157:H7 illnesses associated with the consumption of unpasteurized apple cider.  Three of the victims have been  hospitalized.

Foodpoisoning and E. coli outbreaks are bad enough.  They really make you mad when the company has been warned
