The Iguana Joe’s restaurant in Humble, Texas was closed after a Salmonella outbreak impacted customers who ate at the restaurant over the Father’s Day weekend.

At least a dozen people fell ill with symptoms of Salmonella infection after eating at the Iguana Joe’s restaurant in Humble, Texas over Father’s Day.  The restaurant was closed by the Harris County Health Department.

According to news reports, several children are part of the Salmonella outbreak.

Symptoms of Salmonella Infection

Salmonella infection causes painful abdominal cramping and diarrhea, which is sometimes bloody.  A fever of 100 F to 102 F is common among Salmonella patients.  Some victims of Salmonella infection also suffer from severe vomiting, headache and body aches.
