Colorado Family Files Salmonella Lawsuit Against Cantaloupe Producer Del Monte Fresh
A Salmonella lawsuit Friday against Del Monte Fresh Produce on behalf of a Colorado family whose 12-year-old daughter was hospitalized after contracting a Salmonella infection from Del Monte brand cantaloupe purchased from Costco.

The Road Island Department of Health Announced this afternoon:
• 47 Reported cases of illness (46 in Rhode Island, 1 in Massachusetts)
• 24 Hospitalizations – Nine are still in the hospital
• 23 Lab-confirmed Salmonella
In addition, the Health Department learned that American Bakery Supplies, a distributor in West Warwick, purchased zeppoles from DeFusco’s.
